It’s hard to believe that the 2019 Corvette ZR1 and its powerful 755-hp LT5 was a “one and done” model but that’s exactly the way that Chevrolet intended to close out the front-engine era of America’s favorite sportscar by producing the most powerful Corvette ever.
Here’s an excellent send-off for the Corvette ZR1 from Carfection which features a Sebring Orange ZTK Coupe driving through beautiful scenery while the driver Henry discusses the ins-and-out of the C7’s swan song.

I got to drive an ’11 ZR1 a few years ago.
The most amazing thing to me wasn’t the power.
It was how you could just putt around like a Camry.
Back in the day a car with 650 hp was track use only!
How to Review Cars the British Way
Chapter 1: If you like something about an American car, only admit it in your “surprised” voice.
Chapter 2: Regardless of what the manufacturer says, never correctly pronounce the last letter of the alphabet.
This is the first time I’ve ever heard the legendary ZR-1 called the “Zed-R-1” rather than the “ZR-1″… perhaps it’s just the driver/narrator’s accent (British) … but I listened through the entire and very enjoyable video, and it certainly sounded to me like “Zed-R-1” every time he said it…
After being somewhat familiar with the storied “King of the Hill” history of the ZR-1 that stretches back to the C3 generation, it was a bit distracting to hear it referred to over and over as “Zed” rather than “Z”… but that’s just me… Otherwise, it was a most enjoyable and informative video… and the visuals were amazing… ‘Well done to all who had a hand in it!
I love my 19 C7 ZR1. Now bring on the C8 Z06, C8 ZR1 and Zora. Man what a great tine to be alive.
Who is this clown?? It’s ZZZZZZZ not Zed damn it get it friggen right!!! The C6 ZR1 wasn’t impressive?? This guys an idiot. He looks like a scared Hamster driving the car. What the hell do the Brits know about performance anyway. I stopped the vid, this guy annoys the shit out of me.
“Zed R-1” was bad enough, but when he said the C6 ZR-1 wasn’t that great, I knew this guy didn’t really know Corvettes and I didn’t have any more time to waste on his video.
