[VIDEO] Street Speed 717 Adds Custom Wheels to His Black 2020 Corvette Stingray

YouTuber Street Speed 717 picked up his 2020 Corvette Stingray last week and on Saturday he takes a drive to have a set of custom wheels installed on the car. It’s a great video on multiple levels as Mike still can’t believe he is driving a C8 Corvette, and his enthusiasm and excitement are fun to watch.

Going on the Black C8 are Brixton PF8 wheels sized 20″ in the fronts and 21″ in the rears, a step up from the Stingray’s 19/20 stock wheels. But here’s the kicker…these Brixton’s were originally on a C7 Z06! As the 2020 Corvette is wider, the wheels appear to (mostly) fit but the C7 lug nuts are smaller than the C8s and that required a run to Pep Boys where they found lug nuts that fit the 2020 (FYI sized M14x1.50 thread).

So let that sink in a minute…C7 Z06 wheels fit on a C8? Oh, the aftermarket possibilities! Okay, so they aren’t a perfect fit as Mike takes a closer look at them when he is back in his garage at the very end of the video. But they work, and for some, that’s good enough!

  3. What do those engineers know anyway? Front sticks outside the body so it rubs on the rear of the wheelwell and the rear is such a low profile that the ride will be compromised. Good move by a spoiled rich kid.

  5. The story just gives some info about what rims might fit on the C8. I’m sure these wheels are just temporary and where just put on as a test and get some views As for the younger guy with the C8, he’s not a rich kid. He was raised by his mom which didn’t have much money. He has worked hard and took chances to get where he is now. So if you’re jealous of him maybe you should be. He’s not my favorite car YouTuber, but he’s okay.
