[SPIED] 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible on the Tail of the Dragon

Why, hello beautiful!

We heard that a 2020 Corvette Stingray was spied on the Tail of the Dragon over the weekend via a post over on the Corvette Forum and after doing some hunting, we came up with these photos of an Elkhart Lake Bue Stingray Convertible.

These first photos come from forum member “majkowski” who ran into the 2020 Convertible Stingray and its engineer driver at Deal’s Gap in the parking lot. The Corvette Stingray is a 2LT model with the bright silver open-spoke wheels and as you can see, it has the body-colored nacelles:

Now for the action shots! Thanks to one of the photographic services on the Tail of the Dragon we were able to purchase these shots of the car as its coming and going around the mountain roads. The driver elected to have the hardtop convertible roof up during his run and to tell you the truth we are sort of disappointed. However, it was rather cool on Saturday so we’ll support the driver’s call in this case.

The Tail of the Dragon features 318 curves over its 11 mile run, and the mountain roads surrounding US129 in Tennessee, North Carolina, and northern Georgia offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy some spirited driving which is probably why we’ve come across other C8 Corvettes being driven by engineers over the last year.
