If you’ve passed the National Corvette Museum and the NCM Motorsports Park in the last week while driving down I-65 after sunset, you couldn’t help but notice the massive Christmas light display on the southeast side of I-65. Bowling Green, Kentucky, hasn’t had a significant community light display in several years, but the National Corvette Museum and Motorsports Park decided to pick up the torch and light up the skies with their Christmas Light Experience this year.
Corporate sponsors have stepped in to help the NCM stage over 350 light displays with 1 million total lights for this year’s “Wendy’s Twinkle at the Track presented by U.S. Bank.” The experience takes place over a two-mile drive no the NCM Motorsports Park track, located off I-65 Exit 28 at 505 Kimberlee A. Fast Dr., Bowling Green, KY 42103. You can expect a 15-20 minute drive through the display, though it may take a little longer during peak visiting hours.
This year’s Twinkle at the Track is open nightly through Wednesday, January 1. The drive-through display is open Sunday through Thursday from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 4:30 to 10:00 p.m. Admission is $20 per carload on Monday through Wednesday and $25 Thursday through Sunday with a $50 fee for 12-15 passenger vans. In addition, a coupon book is provided for each vehicle with savings that almost completely covers the cost of admission.
