Quick Shifts is our occasional content feature here at CorvetteBlogger featuring links to Corvette and other automotive-related stories of interest.
Check out these automotive Quick Shifts featuring our favorite stories about the C8 Convertible and C8.R from this week, as well as an LT4 powered C3, a future-classic showdown between a topless Z06 and Lambo in Sixth and Reverse, and get your brain ready to find the correct shade of Corvette Blue in our latest round of Corvette Trivia!
Outside of CorvetteBlogger, Car and Driver’s preview of the 2020 Stingray Convertible has to be the best, most comprehensive one out there. I was 100% on the coupe until I saw their lead photo, now I am fully on the fence!

Road & Track has some good commentary on the video of the C8.R in action. DOHC and a Flat-Plane-Crank? Could be!

Top Gear (the website, not the show) has a nice preview of Chevrolet’s new racecar. It is interesting to hear what enthusiasts outside the US think about our sports car. Can you imagine living in a country where the Corvette was a distant curiosity, not something that you ever actually got to see? Sounds pretty horrible but at least they are familiar with our roaring V8 racers because of Chevrolet/Pratt and Miller’s success at LeMans in the past two decades.

Suffering from C8 fatigue? Check out this bitchin’ C3 packing a C7 Z06’s Supercharged LT4 under its L88-style hood! It is one of the best-looking Resto-Mods we’ve seen in a long time and we don’t want to cheapen it with too many words here.
Just go and see it for yourself on StreetMuscleMag.com
We have been extensively covering the droptop C8 since the reveal Wednesday night, and why shouldn’t we? It is a huge deal any time a new Corvette breaks cover. This week’s reverse gear takes us back to 2015 and joins fourth gear across the pond for a faceoff between the, then brand-new, LT4 C7 Z06 Convertible (or cabrio in their dialect) and the over $500,000 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster.
