Back in September, the Allentown Area Corvette Club hosted their annual Fiberglass & Steel show at the Bethlehem SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA.
Our friend Don Theune, who makes those fantastic 1/24 scale replicas of Corvettes at Scale Visions, was there and offered up these great photos featuring Corvettes that were at the event.
The SteelStacks is the former home of Bethlehem Steel. The ‘stacks’ is actually a series of five blast furnaces that were used in the iron making process at Bethlehem Steel for decades. Following the closure of the plant, the historic site was transformed and today it features concerts, art festivals, and of course, car shows!
This is the 50th year of the Allentown Area Corvette Club and the turnout for their All-GM & Corvette Show @ Bethlehem’s SteelStacks was impressive. Congratulations to the club and here’s to 50 more years!

The steel for the Golden Gate and George Washington bridges came from those furnaces, among many other landmarks.
Hey Keith,
Just wondering( I don’t expect an exact number),
but how many Corvettes do you think are in existence
on the face of the Earth at this time?
Thanks for all your Fantastic blogs,
Doti.
