I appreciate that Road & Track is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to fully testing the contenders for the 2020 Performance Car of the Year Award.
Earlier this week we shared a compilation video featuring some of the testing of the 2020 Corvette Stingray as well as the other 10 contenders for the PCOTY award.
As we said, in their quest to find the best performance car of the year, the editors posted this video to Road & Track’s instagram account showing the Stingray doing donuts in a large parking lot.
As the kids say, “boom goes the dynamite”:

As the Road & Track’s staff continues to research methods to remain relevant with a new 0-360 doughnut performance metric, the C8 struggled scoring a 6 out of 10.
However, subsequently a Ford Mustang nailed it with a perfect score of 10. Proving the Mustang’s many years of “leaving a car show” experience has finally
paid dividends? ???
I’ll kindly show myself to the door…thank you. JB
Do you want coffee with your donuts?
You guys win for best comments of the day lol
I hate Mustangs, saw one on the side of the freeway.?
So you’re comparing a car that’s been around for way to long to a brand new design?? Who cares how the “stang” did, it’s still a Mustang and none of us care. Yes please do show yourself to the door. And yes let it hit you on your way out.
It was sarcasm…dumb a$$!!!
Thanks Chris! ?
Kevin Williams, have you never heard of mustangs leaving car shows? I can only assume you didn’t get the joke.
It was absolutely a joke….?
As a matter of fact, not one Ford finds a slot on the Road & Track 2020 Performance Car of the Year list. Even Ford’s all new Shelby 500GT was skunked… Without question, the Chevrolet C8 Corvette is the biggest news to come out of Detroit…well, that is since the C7 was released ?.
It’s all good!!!
