[ACCIDENT] C7 Corvette Stingray Involved in Two Car Crash on I-64 in West Virginia

A crash involving this red C7 Corvette coupe and an “oversized-load” Chrysler ended with two people taken to the hospital in West Virginia on Tuesday afternoon.

Injuries were described by authorities as “not major,” though the collision did narrow traffic to one lane in both directions on I-64 East near the 29.5-mile marker in Cabell County for a while. All lanes had reopened by Tuesday evening.

The crash happened about 3:15 p.m., according to Cabell County 911 dispatchers.

The driver of the Corvette and a woman in the Chrysler were carried to the hospital.

A photo from the scene seems to show the Corvette resting in the interior emergency lane at a 90-degree angle, with the front end hanging into the median.

The Stingray suffered minor damage to the right front quarter panel and the tire was also hanging at an angle.

It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the Chrysler appears to have possibly struck the driver’s side rear end of the Corvette, too.
