One event we really do enjoy every year is the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Not only do you get to watch all the Corvette Racing action, but it’s the first big event of the year that brings a contingent of Corvette owners together at the Corvette Corral. We call that a target-rich environment when it comes to hunting down cool Corvette vanity license plates.
The Rolex Corvette Corral is fairly compact compared to what we’ve seen at other races as space inside Daytona’s infield is a premium. Our understanding is that the lot just next to the Turn 4 tunnel holds about 200 Corvettes.
Before we get to the photos, I want to give a shout-out to these two Corvette owners.
That’s not a vanity plate on the back of this 2017 Corvette Grand Sport Collector Edition, it’s a wheel-chair carrier that’s been bolted to the frame of the car. The couple who owns this Collector Edition Grand Sport doesn’t let physical limitations keep them from enjoying their Corvette together with friends. Great talking with you and I appreciate your purchase of my book Corvette Special Editions which features a ’17 GS Collector Edition on the cover!
And for those of you who attend a lot of shows and events in your Corvette, check out what his owner has done with their trunk. This collection of dash plaques, patches, buttons, and other souvenirs is a real conversation-starter and a great way to show off all the fun you’ve had with your Corvette.
This year we found some new plates and spotted some familiar ones as well. Got a favorite Corvette Vanity plate in this gallery? Is one of these plates yours or do you recognize a friend? Let us know in the comments section below or hit us up on Twitter and Facebook.

200 amateur corvette drivers at daytona 24 and not one of them ran into another vette. Pity they can’t say the same about the “PROs” on the track.
Betsy RIP!!
