[VIDEO] Cool Fan-Made Transformation of the C8 Mid-Engine Corvette

Here’s a new quick video from bdsvavars who brought us the first 360-degree render video as well as another update on his C8 Corvette designs.

We caught this new rendering over at the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com that shows a transformation of the car from a spy photo of the C8 prototype on the Nurburgring. One second it’s a swirl-wrapped prototype and then it transforms into the mid-engine street car:

I’ve noticed from different designers that we are starting to see more detail to the feature line that runs along the bottom of the door, as well as the shape of the side air intake covers. I also like the aerodynamic chin spoiler found on the front and I think the chrome wheels are way better than the black ones that have been spotted on the prototypes. But that’s just my opinion, I could be wrong!

  1. Please dont look like the red car rendering. If it looks anything like that, it’s gooood bye Corvette, hellllloooo Porsche! I had earmarked $200,000 for the C8, but.

I was really starting to look forward to the new C8. We had some great renderings but within the last week and a half my heart has quit beating. This is what I thought would happen, they would try to hard to add Corvette cues and now it looks like an art project.

The mouth is way to big, the tip of the nose is 3′ in the air, each rear corner is up to high and those fender flares dont match the rest of the car. Having shoulders that high remind me of the ugly mid engine cars of the 80’s.

This thing is now to short looking, to tall in the middle, back a d front, no sleekiness it looks like some giant put one palm of a hand on the rear, the other palm on the nose and pushed them together……Please dont be anything like this!

I gonna go find a tall building. I ran out of bullets the other day.

    SHIATTTTTTTT.
