[PIC] C8 Mid-Engine Corvette Rendered by ACS Composite

It’s not just owners and enthusiasts who are excited about the next generation Corvette. Think about all the after-market companies that make their own products for the Corvette and the anticipation they must feel in wanting to get a head start with the new design.

One of those companies that can’t wait is ACS Composite, manufacturers of after-market aero and other custom body panels for a variety of vehicles with an emphasis on the C6 and C7 Corvette.

Using the latest Nurburgring spy photos and videos as a guide, the ACS design team went to work and came up the following design. The company has posted their new C8 render at the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com with a caption on the photo saying, “We are very excited about the new platform and can’t wait to add our own touches to it!”

  1. I don’t like it. It looks like a 1980’s prototype. I’ve seen other renderings that look much better.

  2. So far from these renderings, its too influenced by Ferrari design….front end has openings that are too large…… (should be tapered down more), side intake scoop is overstated and could be integrated better, and mirrors should be sleaker……..Bill Mitchell would give it a thumbs down at this point……..

  3. Chevy dropped the ball on this one. It could and should have been sooo much better. The front & rear is OK, but the side treatment is awful. I definitely won’t be the first one on my block to buy one. It’s a pedestrian and disappointing design.

  4. I’m with Paul C. My ’18 GS looks like it will be timeless. The C7 captured the essence
of Corvette. So far, the C8…not so much.
