Last weekend our friends over at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering kicked off their 2018 Cars and Coffee season. This week things shift into high gear with Corvette Day. Corvette owners from throughout the region on encouraged to attend to show off their rides to fellow enthusiasts at one of the biggest Cars and Coffee events in southeast Michigan all while supporting the Gleaners food bank.
“This is the 5th year for the Cars & Coffee series,” said Ken Lingenfelter, owner Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. “We think it gets better every year. The car-loving community really looks forward to the weekend meet-ups and their discussions on innovations in design and performance in the industry. They also seem to have a lot of fun with the different weekend themes.”
The event will take place rain or shine and there’s no cost to attend. Participants are asked to bring cash or non-perishable food donations with them, however. See some cool cars while doing good for the neighborhood. At last count, Lingenfelter Cars and Coffee has contributed over 25,000 meals via their weekly meetups.
Lingenfelter Cars and Coffee will take place each Saturday through August 25th from 8-10am at Lingenfelter’s North Engine Build Facility in Wixom, MI located at 47451 Avante Drive.
We’ve attended several Lingenfelter Cars and Coffees and they are great events. The diversity of cars is unmatched anywhere. There’s a cool, laid-back vibe with people just hanging out talking about cars with new friends and old. If you’re in the area this weekend be sure to make time to stop in.
