C6 Corvette Driver and Passenger Suspected in Fatal Memphis Road Rage Shooting

The search continues for two men in a C6 Corvette coupe involved in a road rage shooting over the weekend that left a 22-year-old man dead in Memphis, Tennessee.

Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies are asking the public for help in finding the Corvette, which is either silver or white and has black wheels.

Authorities identified the victim as Tevin Savage, who was driving eastbound on Route 385 between the Houston Levee and Forest Hill Irene exits in southeast Shelby County with his girlfriend when the shooting occurred about 10 a.m. Saturday.

Savage’s girlfriend was not injured.

“Savage’s friends and family continue to pour their thoughts and emotions on social media as a man who loved working on cars, has his life cut short while driving one,” Channel 24 news reporter Brad Broders said.

The manager at House of Dubbz Auto Accessories told Broders that Savage had worked there since he was a teenager, painting cars and working as a mechanic.

“That co-worker said Savage was a good kid who worked hard and couldn’t believe he would be involved in any road rage incident with gunfire,” Broders reported.

Prior to the Saturday incident, seven other road rage incidents involving gunfire have been reported in the Memphis area, with multiple fatalities, Broder said.
