If you happened to see a man riding on the top of the hood of a black Corvette in Oroville, California this week, it wasn’t a scene from the new Mission Impossible movie – it was just the latest road rage incident.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Garrett, the woman driving the Corvette ran a man off the road as he was driving a Chevy Tahoe on Forbestown Road.

That didn’t go over too well with the Tahoe driver, who quickly made a U-turn and headed back to catch up with the Corvette. He passed her and then stopped his SUV in front of her in the middle of the road, hopped out of his vehicle, and jumped on the hood of the Corvette, demanding that she get out.

Naturally, she refused, and that didn’t go over too well with the Tahoe driver, either. He took out a knife and started cutting the top of her convertible roof.

Not surprisingly, that didn’t go over too well with the Corvette driver, who feared for her life and started driving east on Forbestown Road, hoping the man would slide off and leave her alone.

He didn’t, though, and held on for his life as the Corvette reached speeds between 60 and 70 mph.

Finally, Officer Garrett reported that after about a mile and a half of what might be described as the most hair-raising ride ever atop a Corvette, the man slid off the car as it slowed down to 40-50 mph.

Miraculously, he just suffered some road rash and was medically cleared at Enloe hospital.

However, his escapade didn’t go over too well with the Highway Patrol, who booked him into Butte County Jail on assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism charges.
