Firefighters Extinguish the Flames after a C4 Corvette Explodes in Iowa

C4 Corvette Explodes in Iowa

A red C4 Corvette exploded behind a Waterloo, Iowa home Wednesday night, leaving the Chevy sports car badly damaged from front to back.

Firefighters said the Corvette had been sitting unused for a long time in the back yard of the home in the 400 block of Ricker Street and had even been vandalized recently.

Fortunately, no one was hurt by the explosion, which happened around 8 p.m.

Waterloo Fire Rescue, arriving with the car in flames, extinguished the blaze, but sadly the classic Corvette appears to be a total loss.
