Mid America Motorworks has proclaimed Friday, July 1st as “Drive Your Corvette to Work Day” so it’s time for you to start making your plans to show off your Corvette at your place of employment.
Drive your Corvette to Work Day is celebrated on the Friday closest to June 30th, the day the first 1953 Corvette rolled off the assembly line in Flint, Michigan. This is the 16th annual Drive your Corvette to Work Day which is celebrated by thousands of Corvette owners all across the world!
“We understand why many owners consider their Corvette to be a special car and only drive it occasionally,” said Mike Yager, Chief Cheerleader of Mid America Motorworks, “but we think driving your Corvette to work, at least one day a year, is an excellent way to demonstrate just how popular Corvettes are and it is a chance to Save the Wave and keep the Corvette spirit alive!”
While many of you are fortunate to drive a Corvette everyday, for many classic Corvette owners, we have found the annual Drive your Corvette to Work Day to be a great opportunity to show off your Corvette at work and to help spread your love and appreciation for America’s favorite sports car with your fellow employees.
If you do drive your Corvette to work, Mid America Motorworks wants your high resolution photos which can be posted on their facebook page at www.facebook.com/mamotorworks/.
