You know why today is one of our favorite days of the year? It’s the 15th Annual Drive Your Corvette to Work Day! Will you be driving your Corvette to work today?
We’ll admit that this year’s ‘holiday’ sort of snuck up on us without warning as normally we like to make a bigger deal of the day because it’s fun and promotes driving your Corvette.
The annual cruise to work fest was first envisioned by Mike Yager and Mid America Motorworks as a fun way to promote Corvette ownership. It’s always held on the Friday before June 30th which is the day the first 1953 Corvette rolled off the assembly line in Flint, Michigan.

For many, driving your Corvette to work is no big deal with many daily drivers out there. But Drive Your Corvette to Work Day can be that one day where you break out the classic Corvette or weekend cruiser one day early. Its an opportunity to share your Corvette Passion with those you work with and it always looks cool when you get several Corvettes to park next to each other in a prominent location of your work.
