Here’s your chance to support a great cause and maybe win a classic Corvette. This Sunday, a winner will be drawn in the 26th Annual Saint Bernard’s Classic Corvette Giveaway with the grand prize being a Red 1957 fuel injected Corvette. But you can’t win unless your name is on the ticket!
Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church has been hosting the annual Corvette raffle for 26 years now but this is the first time they have offered the same car twice. In 2010, Jeff Morrison won the keys to the Corvette and after a few years of enjoyment, he sold the red roadster back to the Parish so that it could be offered a second time.
The second time is a charm as they say and this fuel injected Corvette will once again help fund the Parish’s school and daycare programs at their facility in Rockport, Indiana. Unlike other raffles and giveaways staffed by professional fundraisers who take their cut of the proceeds, the Classic Corvette Giveaway is run directly by volunteers and local parishioners so all proceeds raised got to the church for funding school operations.
The Venetian Red 1957 Corvette retains its numbers-matching 283/283 fuel injected V8 engine. Options include most factory correct components including the spare tire, trunk liner, shifter, ignition shielding, air cleaner, generator and the 283 Fuel Injection unit. The Corvette also has an auxiliary hard top, heater delete, 3.36 positraction and a wonderbar radio. Also included is the owners manual and a 1958 Corvette sales brochure.
Tickets are available at $30 each or four (4) tickets for $100. A maximum of 12,000 tickets are available and the raffle will also provide cash prizes of $500 and $250 for 2nd and 3rd place. The winning tickets will be drawn at the Summer Social and classic car cruise-in this Sunday, July 13th, 2014. You need not to be present to win, but you must be 18 to participate.
