It’s the beginning of a new year which means its time for the annual Saint Bernard Catholic Church’s classic Corvette raffle. This year the grand prize is a red 1957 Corvette roadster with a 283/283 fuel injected V8 engine.
This individual Corvette is making its second appearance in the annual Corvette giveaway after it was presented to Jeff Morrison in 2010. Jeff sold the red roadster back to the Parish and now you can have the opportunity to drive it home later this summer.
This is the 26th annual raffle for St. Bernard and the funds raised go to the church’s school and daycare programs in Rockport, Indiana. Unlike other raffles and giveaways staffed by professional fundraisers, the St. Bernard Classic Corvette Giveaway is staffed by volunteers and local parishioners. That means ALL proceeds raised go to the church for funding school operations, activities and events.
The red Corvette is a numbers matching 283/283 fuelie, painted in Venetian Red with Beige Coves and Shoreline Beige interior. The Corvette underwent an NCRS-style restoration with show quality paint, interior, new carpet, chrome, stainless exhaust and tires. The Corvette also has an auxiliary hard top, heater delete, 3.36 positraction and a wonderbar radio.
The 1957 Corvette has most all of the factory correct components including the spare tire, trunk mat, trunk liner, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, generator, 283 heads, F.I. unit, F.I. fuel filter, guide Y-50 mirror, owners manual, sales brochure, and one T-3 headlight. Super straight with rust-free frame.
The Corvette was purchased from the 2010 raffle winner Jeff Morrision who graciously offered to sell the Corvette back to the church. The raffle website reads “We loved this Corvette so much that we’re giving you an opportunity to win it again!”.

Tickets are available at $30 each or four (4) tickets for $100. A maximum of 12,000 tickets are available and the raffle will also provide cash prizes of $500 and $250 for 2nd and 3rd place. The winning tickets will be drawn at the Summer Social and classic car cruise-in on Sunday, July 13th, 2014. You need not to be present to win, but you must be 18 to participate.
