While we’ve seen evidence of that in the secondary market with the prices of pre-owned Corvettes dropping and the time to sale increasing, we know many dealers who still have a list of customers wanting to order the new Corvette. However, our attention was definitely piqued with this post on the Corvette Forum from a Montana Chevrolet dealer offering to sell two new Stingray “Stock Orders” for under $3,000 MSRP.
“If I were to describe this car and owning this car, just getting in and out of the vehicle, it’s a very raw, mechanical vehicle. You put the key in and you manually turn on the water pumps and fans and you have all your gauges. This is not a modern muscle car by any means.”
It’s been a little quiet regarding the UAW’s Stand Up Strike against the Big 3 automakers this week, but it appears there may be some positive negotiations occurring between the union and General Motors.
