Now the original owner of this Rapid Blue C8 convertible, if he wants to replace it with the same, will be waiting even longer.

The American rendition of “the most famous car show… in the world” has been revived by Motor Trend, and I (Corvette Blogger’s resident Top Gear super fan) was able to squeeze the two-part premiere into my viewing schedule between my toddlers’ dueling Lion Guard and Bubble Guppies marathons and my current “the kids are finally in bed” show with my wife, Counterpart.
BREAKING: The Corvette Assembly Plant Will Be Shut Down Week of February 8th

The Corvette Assembly Plant will be closed for another week according to those in the know we spoke with this afternoon. This news comes despite the earlier notice this week that the plant would reopen on February 8th. The plant is now rescheduled to open up on February 15th.

The designer who dreamed up the iconic second-generation Corvette Sting Ray is back at it again.
Peter Brock, the youngest designer in General Motors history when he sketched the Sting Ray as a teenager, is now in his mid-80s, the last surviving member of the team that brought the world the legendary 1963-67 Corvette.

What’s worse, Corvette Nation? Wanting a new Corvette and not getting one, or getting a new Corvette and then having all kinds of weird issues with it?
That second scenario is what Jaysmizle via YouTube is having with his Torch Red 2020 Corvette Stingray which was just delivered to him in December. He says that he loves the car despite the problems, but we would find it hard to be excited for a car that he refers to as the “worst 2020 Corvette ever built”. The new owner has made several quick videos documenting his strange issues with the car, and believe me when you see what he is dealing with, you would be frustrated as well.
2021 Corvette Production and Constraints Update

Even though the Corvette Assembly Plant has been paused for the week, there is still some happenings on the ordering and production front to make you aware of. On Wednesday, Chevrolet sent out an update to dealers regarding production and dealers also received their allocations for the next three months.

General Motors released the full version of this year’s Super Bowl ad which features Will Ferrell who is outraged that Norway sells more EVs than the United States. The commercial is titled, “No Way Norway” and it also features Kenan Thompson and Awkwafina who joins Ferrell’s quest to give Norway a piece of his mind.
The advertisement prominently features two of GM’s new EVs, the Cadillac Lyric SUV and GMC’s Hummer pickup truck.
