It was another banner-waving year for the Chevrolet Corvette in 2023. The model officially turned 70 years old on January 17th and the biggest news of the calendar year was the introduction of the newest C8 Corvette – the 2024 Corvette E-Ray. The Corvette also faced its challenges with production constraints and supply chain issues being a constant thorn, but on the positive side, the 2023 Corvette set a record for C8 production, and it was one of the best-selling Corvettes ever with over 53K produced for the model year.

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray is one of the vehicles being tested for Road and Track’s Performance Car of the Year and we should have the results sometime in mid-January. One of those testing the car for the magazine is Matt Farah who appears to have a taken a shine to the new performance hybrid sports car. Farah has two separate articles up on R&T this month about the new car, and in them he calls the E-Ray “the most Corvette of Corvettes.”
