Yesterday a member of the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com posted this graphic of a logo and asked if this was the C8 Z06’s emblem. While we don’t think this will be the official logo, we wanted to share it as it’s starting to make the rounds of the usual players.

The 2021 Corvette Convertible was announced today as the Official Pace Car for the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500. This will be the 18th race that the Corvette has served as the Official Pace Car, the 32nd Chevrolet to lead the field. It’s also the first Convertible model to serve as the pace car in more than a decade.

An avid Corvette enthusiast and self-proclaimed math nerd Kyle Marsh watched last week’s video of the C8 Corvette Z06 prototype practicing its launch control at the Milford Proving Grounds and realized that he could compute a ballpark 0-60 MPH time of the car. As the test track is essentially a “giant ruler” and utilizing physics and calculus, Kyle was able to create a formula, and based on the data points he was able to collect from the YouTube video he came up with an estimated 2.5 to 2.6 seconds 0-60 MPH time.

Larry posted the photos to the Colorado Car Spotters Facebook Page saying he was on his way home when he spied the three prototypes. He says “I know they weren’t happy with me stopping for a photo shoot. I was pulling into my driveway and had to stop.
