On Friday afternoon at the National Corvette Museum, Corvette Team Members Harlan Charles and John Fitzpatrick pulled the covers off of two cars to reveal the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Ediion. The Laguna Blue 3LT Brownstone Corvette Coupes will be specially numbered and limited to 500 examples.

The new launch-edition Corvette Stingray will be limited to 500 “loaded” 2014 Corvette Stingrays Coupes.
It looks like the Corvette Assembly Plant has been busy cranking out examples of the 2014 Corvette Stingrays because they are literally everywhere in Bowling Green this weekend for the Corvette Museum’s 60th Anniversary celebration. Chevrolet’s Corvette officially turns 60 this weekend. It was June 30th, 1953 when that first Polo White two seater left the Flint, MI assembly plant. If you’re looking for a way to help celebrate Corvette’s 60 year legacy you’ve got several options this weekend. Here’s another way for Corvette lovers to celebrate our favorite mark’s 60th birthday. Corvettes in the D will be taking place this Sunday, June 30th at GM’s world headquarters in Detroit. The event is being coordinated by Larry Courtney who also organizes the annual Corvettes on Woodward food drive each year in August. Fourth, seventh place in final Le Mans for C6.R with new car looming for 2014
LE MANS, France (June 23, 2013) – Corvette Racing and its two Compuware Corvette C6.Rs completed the most demanding auto race in the world today by finishing in the top seven of the GTE Pro class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Antonio Garcia, Jan Magnussen and Jordan Taylor brought home the No. 73 Compuware Corvette in fourth place after starting seventh. It was a remarkable comeback that saw the trio pick up three spots in the final six hours. The No. 74 Compuware Corvette finished seventh with Oliver Gavin, Jan Magnussen and Richard Westbrook driving.
Chevrolet released the performance estimates this morning for the all new 2014 Corvette Stingray and we guarantee that these numbers will sure make a lot of folks happy! We’ve been told that new “base” Stingray would be right up there in C6 Z06 territory and it looks like that claim is mostly spot on! Equipped with the Z51 performance package, the new C7 Corvette has a 3.8 second 0-60 mph estimate, and in the quarter miles does 12.0 seconds at 119 mph!
