The Lingenfelter Collection is hosting its annual Fall Charity Open House for breast cancer awareness at Lingenfelter Motorsports in Brighton, Michigan on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Just about everyone in the Corvette world knows of Ken Lingenfelter and his extensive collection of not only Corvettes, but other muscle and exotic cars. Ken and his wife Kristen use the car collection to connect with people in ways that transcend automobiles. The Fall Open House for Breast Cancer Awareness is just one of their charitable efforts. All proceeds from the event will go to The Pink Fund, which provides active-cancer-treatment patients with up to 90 days of direct financial assistance to cover non-medical expenses, such as health insurance premiums, housing, transportation and utilities.

The theme for this year’s FunFest was “Vets with Vettes” and so not only was it great to see all the Corvettes out in the fields but to have the opportunity to talk with our nation’s veterans and see all the patriotic displays including the traveling Vietnam Veteran’s wall memorial was something we’ll never forget.

Back in the 1970′s John Greenwood teamed up with Eckler’s Corvette parts to produce a run of wide body Corvettes. The entire kit could be purchased through the Eckler’s mail order catalog. Owners could choose several options including different width fenders, unique rear clips in addition to Sportwagon, Panelwagon, and hatch back rear end treatments. If you failed to order one these of kits back in the day, you’ve another chance at it with this Eckler’s Can-Am wide body we stumbled across on eBay.
GeigerCars of Germany is no stranger to the world of Corvettes, so it’s no surprise that the tuner company knocked it out of the park with its C7 supercar.
Their latest creation won’t come cheap, but if you want a Corvette Stingray that you won’t see every day on the street, you might want to talk to them.
The Corvette world is mourning the passing of another racing legend, Dr. Dick Thompson.
“The Flying Dentist,” as he came to be known, didn’t start racing until he was 32 years old, but he quickly became a force to be reckoned with in many different makes of automobiles, not just Corvettes.
I really hate seeing Corvettes parked like this, especially when they are right up front near the establishment instead of somewhere safer like the back of the lot. It reflects badly on Corvette owners and taking up two spaces just asks for people to mess with you like this Grand Sport owner found out.
The picture and a video of the Corvette owner’s reaction as he came out to find a Jeep parked on the curb next to him was posted to Reddit r/pics today by AnotherCJMajor who was the owner of the white jeep.
