We’ve told you about the Lingenfelter Extreme-S exhaust for the new mid-engine Corvette, engineered jointly with Corsa Performance and costing $3,599.
Now the legendary tuning company has released a much less expensive revision for the C8 Stingray – a front lowering kit for just $99.95.
Mecum Auctions has kicked off the 2021 collector car season with their annual colossal Kissimmee, Florida sale. The action began on Thursday, January 7th, and will run through Saturday, January 16th. We’ve already shown you a few of the Corvettes up for grabs, but now it’s time for a rapid-fire look at 12 more of our favorites.

I received an email today containing a fun new video from our friend Byron Glover Jr of the Drive 615 YouTube channel. Byron drove up to Bowling Green to visit the Corvette Assembly Plant and he was able to capture the two newest exterior colors on the 2021 Corvettes, Silver Flare and Red Mist Metallic.

This week’s delivery spotlights are on an Elkhart Lake Blue Convertible delivered via the R8C program at the NCM, while an Arctic White Z51 Coupe is picked up at the Gaithersburg, MD dealership. Many years from now, we have no doubt that the 2019 Corvette ZR1 – produced for just one year – will be as revered as another one-year-only Corvette, the 1963 split window coupe.

As regular readers of Quick Shifts already know, your humble author recently took delivery of a righteous 2018 Camaro SS 1LE. Even as a part-time professional writer with access to thesaurus.com, I lack the proper descriptor for how awesome this machine is. Approaching that menacing shape in the parking lot puts me on cloud nine almost as much as running the glorious LT1 to its redline.
If you’re a SEMA member and want to offer a product for the new C8 Corvette but haven’t been able to get up-close to one to get accurate measurements, you might want to take part in a Measuring Session for the 2020 Stingray being held in partnership with Chevrolet later this month.
As the average age of Corvette customers continued to spiral upward with each generation of the car, Chevy made no secret that its goal with the C7 and C8 was to lure fresh blood to the mix.
So far, so good with the new mid-engine eighth generation!
According to Vice President of GM North America Steve Hill, two out of three C8 buyers are new to Chevy.
