We’ve had a very fun week after GM gave us an actual photo of the 2023 Corvette Z06 prior to its reveal on October 26. While that photo dominated the conversations among Corvette enthusiasts, it certainly wasn’t the only Corvette news out there since our last News and Headlines episode on the CORVETTE TODAY Podcast.

Back in August, I had the fantastic opportunity to visit the Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club out near Las Vegas. Among many other activities, Spring Mountain is home to the Corvette Owners School at the Ron Fellows School of Performance Driving. The class is available at a discount to every new Corvette owner. While I don’t currently own a C8, I was fortunate to experience the class firsthand during my time in Nevada. Over the next couple of weeks, you’ll get a chance to ride along with me as I channel my inner Rodney Sandstorm out at Spring Mountain.

Our friend Peter Chilelli shared another rendering of the new 2023 Corvette Z06, this time choosing to color it in Amplify Orange and adding the Z07 Performance Package aero which can be seen in the form of the front dive planes and the rear wing spoiler.
Peter posted the pic on the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com and he said “Just for fun, I used one of my renders over the top of the GM Camo Z06 in motion photo released this week.“

It’s always a rare moment whenever we can get a glimpse of the mid-engine C8 Corvettes being built inside the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green during the age of COVID, but that’s exactly what I have to share with you today. Not only that, but the cars shown being assembled are the Right Hand Drive versions that will be sold in Japan, England, Australia, and New Zealand.
General Motors certainly won’t have to worry about the upcoming Mazzanti Evantra Pura stealing away any significant sales from its hot new C8 Corvette Stingray.
After all, the small Italian supercar manufacturer formed in 2002 is planning to hand-build only five of the Puras annually.
