Since I was in the Chevrolet Live Inventory website today on Chevrolet.com to look at the inventory of the 2025-2026 Corvette E-Rays and Z06s that qualify for Chevy’s $7,000 private offer, I decided to take a look to see just how many of the 250 Corvettes built with the Stars & Steel package that are still available.
Chevy designers designed the Stars & Steel Package to be offered across multiple vehicles that include several Silverado and Colorado truck models in addition to the 250 built for the Corvette. The Corvette models were split into two distinct colorways with one being Arctic White with the Santorini Blue interior while the other was Black with an Adrenaline Red interior. On the exteriors, a flag motif was used for the special graphics. For each Stars & Steel vehicle sold, Chevrolet donated $250 to nonprofit organizations that support veterans’ groups.
Our nearly nationwide search of Chevrolet’s Live Inventory shows that just 55 of these special 2026 Corvettes with the Stars & Steel package remain. Here is the total breakdown of those Corvettes as well as the remaining counts for each of the two colors per model:
Stingray
• Arctic White: 14
• Black: 19
• Total: 33
E-Ray
• Arctic White: 9
• Black: 7
• Total: 16
Z06
• Arctic White: 3
• Black: 3
• Total: 6
The RPO USA package added an additional $9,995 to the build costs and if you remember, it was only available on the 3LT/3LZ trim packages for Coupes and Convertibles. We do see some of the remaining Corvettes offered with discounts off of MSRP, but most are priced at MSRP or even a little higher. The good news for buyers of the Stars & Steel package is that values of limited editions Corvettes tend to stay higher for longer, and resale values are generally better than just a regular model.
As someone who literally wrote the book on Corvette Special Editions, it’s our belief that the Stars & Steel package was one of the better special editions that have been offered over the years, and the fact that it was limited to 250 and then that count was further diluted over the five models, they will remain highly collectible for years to come. I’ve been watching the 2026 ER market for a long time. They aren’t moving because dealerships aren’t discounting them. As of this very moment, you can still find 2026 ER’s listed at $0 off MSRP. Dealerships have held firm for so long–that the demand has evaporated as the fervor for LS6 has taken hold.
As of right now, there are only 5 HTC ER S&S listed; 3 white & 2 black. One of which is spec’d out to an absolutely preposterous sale price of $177,685 (Sticker of 149k). Only 2 are below 140k (discounts of about 13k and 9k) and those are the black ones.
The problem isn’t demand or even desirability. We’re a stones throw from 2027’s AWD offering with 70 more ponies. If these HTC were listed at 120k, they’d get scooped up. Instead, GM is trying to force-feed outdated product that had a dubious upcharge to begin with.
P.S.
I sincerely hope Orel Hershiser Chevrolet gets forced to take a bath on theirs. The price is an affront to principles of the man whose name the dealership caries.
