[VIDEO] C5 Corvette Brings the Heat to the Drag Strip with Two 10-Second Runs against this Dodge Challenger

It’s not that often that we come across a C5 Corvette flexing at the drag strip, but our friends at AutoEvolution have come across this matchup between a fifth-gen Corvette Convertible and a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack that is definitely worth sharing.

This matchup happened at Darana Raceway, formerly known as the National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio and was captured by the Import 2 Race YouTube channel. Within the span of a single minute, we get both the initial run and then the rematch after the two cars switch lanes.

Both cars have obviously had some work done to them and we can see the Challenger is also wearing a set of Hoosier drag tires for even more grip. While a bone stock C5 Corvette can run a standing quarter mile time of around 13.3 seconds at 108 mph, what you are going to see is two 10-second cars going after each other.

With the first race, the winner takes lights with a run of 10.21 seconds at 135 mph while the other came in just behind at 10.35 seconds at 138 MPH. With the times being that close, a rematch was scheduled and the results were nearly identical with the winner taking the lights with a run of 10.29 seconds at 140 MPH versus 10.38 seconds at 137 mph.
