Some of the most powerful and desirable Corvettes in existence will be on display next weekend at the Amelia Island Concours. The annual Amelia Island Concours event is considered the 2nd most prestigious car show on earth following only Pebble Beach. Naturally, it just makes sense that some of the greatest Corvettes out there will be on display in their own dedicated class.

The L88 Corvette class at Amelia Island will bring together a total of 10 L88’s covering each of the legendary RPO’s production years of 1967, 1968, and 1969. L88 Corvettes are nearly as rare as they come. Just 20 were built in 1967, 80 in 1968, and 116 in 1969. They were mainly purchased by racers who knew about their clandestine power rating. While the factory rated the engine at 430hp, they’ve been known to dyno around 560hp. Today L88 powered Corvettes are highly sought after with collectors eagerly lining up to throw down 6 or 7-figure bids for the chance to own one.
