Every once in a while, the automotive universe coughs up something so strange, so bold, so gloriously unnecessary that you can’t help but smile. Today’s example? A 1981 Corvette ramp truck — yes, you read that correctly — listed on Facebook Marketplace in Queen Creek, Arizona, for $7,000 OBO.
If you’ve ever looked at a C3 Corvette and thought, “Cool… but what if it were a truck?” then congratulations: your dream machine has arrived.
This creation started life as a regular 1981 C3 Corvette. Then someone, somewhere, decided the world needed a ramp truck with pop up headlights and Stingray curves. So they grafted the Corvette body onto a Chevy C30 truck frame, stood back, and said, “Perfect.”
The seller calls it a 1 of 1, and unless someone out there is hiding another Corvette truck hybrid in a barn, that’s probably accurate.
According to the listing, the truck is still a project — but it’s a running, driving project with a surprising amount of work already done:
• 400 small block Chevy
• Rebuilt TH400 transmission
• Rebuilt front end
• New shocks
• New brakes and brake lines
• Rebuilt 600cfm carb
• Two radiators with electric fans (because one radiator simply isn’t enough for something this ridiculous)
• And yes, it has a clean title, which might be the most shocking part of the whole story.
The seller leans into the chaos with full confidence:
“Want a project that breaks necks and gets crazy reactions? This is the perfect project truck for you.”
Imagine pulling into Cars & Coffee with this thing. Imagine loading a motorcycle onto the back of a Corvette. Imagine the confused joy on people’s faces as they try to process what they’re seeing.
This isn’t just a vehicle — it’s a conversation starter, a rolling dare, a mechanical fever dream brought to life.
Is it practical? No.
Is it logical? Absolutely not.
Is it unforgettable? Without question.
For $7,000, you could buy a used sedan… or you could buy the only Corvette ramp truck in existence and instantly become a local legend.
Some projects are built for speed.
Some are built for style.
