Automotive legend Peter Brock attended the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals last weekend in Chicago to unveil his Studio Concept 1963 Corvette. The striking blue C2 was one of Saturday’s Premiere Unveilings at the Pebble Beach of Muscle Cars.
Brock may be best known for his work on the C2 Corvette among his other extensive automotive experience. Now in his 80’s, he’s still dabbling in the world of automotive design.
Brock’s Sting Ray was the 3rd car revealed in the full slate of MCACN Premier Unveilings last weekend. The short ceremony was hosted by Mecum’s Scott Hoke and Chris Jacobs. During and after the reveal, they talk with Peter about his latest creation and how he had another chance to build on the legendary design he created over 60 years ago.
With the cover removed, the throngs of onlookers were treated to a masterful blue Sting Ray that’s a subtle tribute to arguably the most iconic automotive design of all time. Notable enhancements include removal of all the car’s bright work. All that chrome is replaced with dark pieces that accent the sparkling Ferrari blue paint. Out back, the legendary split window design remains but now larger openings allow for improved visibility. The hood and side vents are now functional instead of just styling features. The keen eye will also notice that the flip up headlights have been removed and are now hidden stealthily behind the front grill. Our favorite feature might just be the enhanced spine running along the top and back of the car. From here, we’ll let Peter and the crew fill in the rest of the blanks for you.
Finally, if you want to get your hands on this beauty, it’ll be up for bids in January at Mecum Kissimmee on Friday, January 16th, 2026.

That’s impressive!!!! I love the colour and the wheels ROCK!!!
Peter is the best! If you are reading this, “Hi Peter!! It’s been a long time, glad all is going GREAT!!!”
Did Peter Brock not reveal this, or something very similar, a couple of years ago?
Stunning and beautiful in Ferrari Blue! I do recall Peter Brock revealing a modified grey 63 SWC that seemed to be almost identical to this one last year.
Robert,
You area correct. Silver or grey… I think the goal is to make 20 of them? All different colours… think Kindig Design and the CF1…
👍
Truly Magnificent!
Wow, I love that car, the blue color is great!
