[PODCAST] Corvette Today #258 - Peter Brock And His Re-Imagined '63 Split Window Corvette

This week on the Corvette Today Podcast is Peter Brock, the talented designer who penned the first ’63 coupe is back to talk with your host Steve Garrett about his latest project which saw him re-imagine the 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe.

The 1963 Split Window Corvette was the car that first introduced me to the Corvette as a young man.

The man who sketched the C2 Corvette, Peter Brock, is a living legend in the Corvette community. Recently, Peter introduced at SEMA 2024 a reimagined ’63 Split Window Corvette! Peter comes back to CORVETTE TODAY to give us all the details about his “new” ’63 Split Window Corvette (he was originally on CORVETTE TODAY #30 in November of 2020).

Please note – this is NOT a restomod Corvette! Peter has modernized this iconic Corvette but it retains the same body of the 1963 Split Window Corvette.

The first re-imagined ’63 Split Window was auctioned off at Barrett Jackson/Scottsdale. And a total of 20 units will be produced and sold. Find out how you can purchase one by listening and watching this episode of CORVETTE TODAY!

  1. Hi. I’m Barbra Friedman from Woodland Hills, CA. I am now driving my 12th. Corvette – and of course, I love it. My first was a 1958 and because I was in PR after graduating from UCLA I worked the first Riverside 500 in Los Angeles and met up with Robert Peterson of Motortrend and ultimately worked in P
R for my company and the kinda ‘glam’ racing editor for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, a daily newspaper published by Hearst in Los Angeles for about 10 years. Ted Lobinger, the head of Goodyear Racing tires became my best friend for many years so I have many stories to tell of Shelby, Bob Bondurant and all the many local, national and international events I was fortunate enough to attend.
