The moment we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived! The guys behind U-Drags, the best racing series on the ‘net, are officially in possession of an animalistic C8 Corvette ZR1! There’s just one little problem; no other manufacturer was willing to put their hardware to task against Chevrolet’s new 1,064 all-internal combustion horsepower beast.
Even though none of the heavy hitters that could possibly stand up to the ultimate Corvette are present – there’s no Ferrari 296 or F80, no Lamborghini Revuelto or Temerario, or even a McLaren W1 – the show must go on. With no one else in sight, Edmunds decided to send the ZR1 to dance by itself… in the crowded, lonely night.
As usual, we won’t spoil the results, except to say that, as expected, GM’s hyper-Vette is exceedingly fast! There are a couple of things this video does make us want to take a minute to explore and appreciate, though, so stay tuned as we have some more things to say about the new King of the Hill!

Impressive!
The more I think about it, the three most compelling bogies for this car are just other ZR1s.
I’d love to see how it does against the lower drag (but also lower downforce and grip in the cornering bit of the race) base aero version. I’d also like to see how much better a ’26 ZTK with the new Alcon brakes actually performs, and, obviously, how it stacks up against the launch and extra power/weight of the ZR1X that I’d bet on dethroning the Lucid.
Still should have produced a couple of standards.
More fun and more control.
That’s a great idea Alex. It makes me think about years ago reading an article in Car and Driver magazine where they tested and compared three C4 Corvettes with their three different suspension options against each other.
