Our friend Mike from the Brink of Speed YouTube Channel spent the day out at the Texas State Fair to check out the awesome Chevrolet display which includes examples of the 2026 Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and new ZR1. But it’s really the E-Ray that Mike is interested in, or rather, he’s interested in what you know about the E-Ray.
In this fun video, Mike and his friend Neighbor Mark are asking those at the Chevrolet display these four simple questions:
1. Do You Like Corvettes?
2. What is your favorite Corvette of all time?
3. Which is your favorite Corvette at the Texas State Fair?
4. What is that Corvette (Points to E-Ray) and What do you know about it?
The results of this informal survey was definitely fun to watch, and almost nobody knew that the E-Ray was a Performance Hybrid sports car with All-Wheel Drive. If you’re a fan of on-the-street interviews with the subject being America’s Favorite Sports Car, this was a good time!
From Brink of Speed via YouTube:
We took the brand-new 2026 Corvette E-Ray straight to the Texas State Fair to see how many people could actually name this car… and the answers were WILD! From lifelong Corvette fans to first-time fairgoers, everyone had something to say — but almost nobody knew what this one really was…

When talking to the girls, you said the E-ray had a combined horsepower of 455 hp, instead of 655 hp. It was just a slip of the tongue…easily done. All in all, nice job.
My favorite Corvette of all time would have to a 1969 C3 ZL1 Corvette.
Destined to remain the black sheep of the Corvette line. Forever maligned and misunderstood. And will have high value retention as years tick away while people slowly discover the mad genius of the ER. It’s barely a Corvette; it’s an E-Ray.
ER is my favorite Corvette of all time, because it’s the first AWD Corvette of all time.
