[VIDEO] Wheeler's 2025 ZR1 Gets Upgraded with New Wheels from E5

Christian Wheeler has owned his Arctic White 2025 Corvette ZR1 for three months now and he is one of the few owners who is enjoying the new King of the Hill as it should be. He has several track dates under his belt and he’s made a few runs at the drag strip. With the odometer now reading around 2,500 miles, he has now decided to address some of the aesthetics of the car with a new wheel and suspension setup.

For the wheels, he turned to our friend Dante and E5 Wheels and selected E5’s new Talladega Wheel that just recently made its debut. The Talladega is E5’s first forged aluminum wheel and Wheeler ordered his in Brushed Aluminum which we think looks great against the White car. Wheeler says he weighed the E5 Wheels before having them installed, and then he weighed the stock wheels after they came off the car and he found he was saving about 10 lbs per wheel in unsprung weight as compared to the forged OEM wheels.

In the video, Wheeler first had the wheels coated to help protect them and make them easier to keep them clean, and then they were mounted to the car using an offset so the wheel sits flush against the outside edge of the wheel fenders.

For the suspension upgrades, Paragon Performance sent him lowering springs to improve the stance of the car. Once completed he shows with a tape measure that the rear was lowered about 1.75 inches (he rounds up to two inches). He says the springs are very comfortable and comments that there is no noticeable difference in the ride quality between the Paragon lowering springs and the OEM springs.

He’s also going to be testing two different intakes with dyno results coming up, and he says he’ll keep the one that does the best.

  1. Liked the video and I really liked his super cool purple classic Challenger. I have to wonder though with the custom offset and the lowering springs on his ZR1 if the tires rub the fenders during some driving conditions.
