The driver of this red Corvette coupe faces multiple charges after he was clocked doing more than 50 mph over the speed limit on Kolb Road in Tucson, Arizona.
The Tucson Police Department says the speeder told them he was on his way to work when he was clocked at 97 mph in a 45 mph zone.
Now, his Corvette has been impounded, and the 25-year-old driver was arrested and charged with Criminal Speeding and Reckless Driving.
In a social media post, TPD says they are working to keep the roads safe from dangerous drivers, like this fellow in his little red Corvette.
By the way, any idea on the generation of this Corvette? I believe it to be a C4 while Keith thinks its a C5. What say you?

I believe it is a C5 due to the slightly oval tail lights. The early C4’s are round and recessed. The ZR1 and later are more square. The softer body corner lines look C5 to me.

I’d say that is definitely a C5. I can tell by the taillights, the shape of the drivers side mirror and the slight contoured recess in the middle of the rear roof bar.

Driving that fast in a 45 mph zone is irresponsible. If you’re going to do something like that, way out in the country or on a lightly traveled interstate would be safer. IF you were going to do something like that. 😇
