Chevrolet surprised Corvette enthusiasts during Monterey Car Week with the reveal of two new concept cars at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering. Designed and fabricated at the Chevrolet Performance Studio in Warren, MI, the Corvette CX and the CX.R Vision Gran Turismo both offer a glimpse into the future of Corvette design.

For those that don’t want to wait until the C9 or C10 arrives, we have some good news as you can drive both of these really great looking concept cars today! That’s because both of these concepts are available to download and drive on the hit Sony video game, Gran Turismo 7.

Gran Turismo 7 is a realistic driving simulation game developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive. According to X.com’s GROK, the game is known for its realistic driving physics, extensive car roster, and detailed tracks. Gran Turismo 7 also features classic elements from the series with modern features, emphasizing car culture, racing, and customization.

In addition to the two new Corvette CX concept cars, players can also drive up to 18 different Chevrolets in the game. The Corvette offerings are very diverse as you can drive everything from a 1959 Corvette Stingray Racer to the 2019 Corvette ZR1. All eight generations of Corvette are available and there are several dedicated racers you can add to your garage as well.

The Corvette CX and CX.R Vision Gran Turismo will be available on Gran Turismo 7 for free through Update 1.62, which goes live starting Wednesday, August 27 at 11pm PT/Thursday, August 28 at 2am ET.

This is the second time we remember Chevrolet and Sony Interactive collaborating on a digital Corvette concept that can be downloaded and driven in the Gran Turismo video game series. During the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Chevrolet introduced the 2014 Corvette Stingray Gran Turismo concept.
