Clive the C6 Corvette continues his travels around the world, and now the odometer on this special red ‘Vette has surpassed the distance to the moon at more than 238,000 miles.

After being shipped from the United Kingdom, Clive recently arrived in the United States with a dead battery, but fortunately a quick jump start solved that problem and he was on his way to more adventures in the Southeast.

In a new post on YouTube, Clive and his owner, David, make stops in Florida, where they tour Daytona International Raceway and get to see a SpaceX flight and recovery, where they’re greeted with the warm hospitality of the Kennedy Corvette Club.

The duo pass through some beautiful scenery in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee – including gators, turtles, and butterflies – before arriving at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where David signs copies of his books for a couple of days. That’s followed by a visit to the Kentucky Horse Trials and then on to New York City where David flies home to the U.K., leaving his buddy Clive behind for his return this month.

If you’re wondering how a UK writer ended up traveling around the globe in a Chevy sports car, including Europe and North Africa, David fell in love with the C6 Corvette while on a visit to America and became obsessed with the idea of buying one in the States and taking a road trip across the West before shipping the car back to England. Once in England, the car began its transformation into the weekend racer seen in the very first video.

  1. A dead battery in a Corvette? Imagine that. The salesman I bought my C7 Z51 Stingray from told me to never leave the key fob in it because that’s what can happen.
