The guys at WD Detailing are back at it again, and this time, you could even become the new owner of a 2004 Corvette Z06 they’re giving away to a lucky customer.

This Millennium Yellow C5 Z06 has just 21,204 miles on the odometer, and after the cosmetic and mechanical restoration WDD put the car through, it’s practically brand new.

When WDD found the car in Massachusetts, the original owner – a fellow named Jim who says he used to be in the amusement business with some 50 rides – had parked it since 2016 in a warehouse due to some health issues. Unfortunately, the roof had been raining down a shower of rusty water right onto the car, leaving behind some pretty nasty stains.

But no problem for WDD, who used a variety of techniques, including iron removal sprays, to get the paint looking awesome again.

The interior, meanwhile, had a lot of mold on the carpet, seat covers, and door panels, and the guys originally planned to install replacement parts. Unfortunately, the used seats they found were actually in worse shape than the originals, so they used them again. They put the interior through a pretty serious mold removal process, but if the new owner still doesn’t feel comfortable with the original parts, WDD is including the new parts to swap out. By the time they’re through with the car, though, the interior looks amazing.

Likewise with the rest of the car, where WDD used a company to renew the Z06 wheels and get them looking showroom fresh. Another shop got the car running strong with injector cleaning, fluid changes, new brakes, and more.

A final test drive leaves the guys impressed with this Chevy sports car that, believe it or not, is just four years away from earning vintage status.
