‘Tis better to have driven a C8 Z06 and lost it, than never to have driven one at all.
That might be one way to summarize the owner’s brief relationship with his one-off 2024 Z06 3LZ convertible.
The car was the prize in a raffle sponsored by the National Corvette Museum in celebration of their 30th anniversary.
As such, the NCM spared no expense outfitting this Z06, including a one-off NCM 30th Anniversary Tech Bronze graphics package with bronze and carbon flash stripes.
The final MSRP added up to a whopping $147,525, including the top-of-the-line 3LZ package, front lift, Stealth Trim, two-tone Natural and Jet Black leather GT2 seats, Carbon Flash ground effects kit, black exhaust tips, LED headlights, and the bronze-finished 20” and 21” Spider Tech forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber measuring 275/30 at the front and 345/25 at the rear.
The winner of this unique Z06 then proceeded to drive it just 183 miles before putting it up for sale. It then didn’t take very long for someone to eat it up for $136,000 – leaving the winner with a pocket full of gold and the second owner thrilled to have the opportunity to drive this 670-horsepower flat-plane crank behemoth anywhere – on the road, the track, anywhere.
Based on the relative rarity of the Z06 in the first place and the exclusive nature of this NCM special, we think this has all the makings of an excellent investment. What do you think?

Did the buyer get a warranty?
It sounds like for the winner of this hot looking Corvette that the glitter of owning it fizzled out pretty quick.
My Corvette was 1 of 30 that is red with black interior 2lt, black wheels and built on a Thursday morning in May. Does not make it worth more in a crappy market.

No. The black wheels is going to kill it’s value. Too many of those around.
Probably a good financial decision, the owner had that tax bill to pay off and/or recoup what he had to pay NCM for that, and now has that money back comes out way ahead. May just order himself a stingray and still come out ahead. If i won one and it wasn’t exactly what I wanted I might do the same thing.
