GM Set to Move ZR1 Orders Forward with New High Wing Constraints Coming on Wednesday

We finally have some good news for those initial 2025 Corvette ZR1 orders that were submitted back in February and then immediately pulled so that GM could locate additional high wings for the much anticipated sports car. An email was sent today to dealers outlining the process and we have it for you here below.

The way this will work is that GM has apparently located a supply of the TOM Carbon Fiber Aero Package which includes the ZR1’s High Wing, front canards, and the underbody strakes. Dealers with those initial ZR1 orders will receive a new email on Wednesday telling them how many sets of the TOM aero are available for them to order. Dealers can then modify those existing orders for adding the TOM option or leave an existing order as is without TOM, or they can replace the order with a new one order that contains the TOM aero package.

Dealers will have until Monday, March 31st to make those order changes. GM will then pick up any and all orders from the February order cycle and move them forward on Tuesday, April 1st by scheduling them for production. After that happens, we should learn when the ZR1s will be built as customers are alerted with their TPWs (target production weeks).

Our friends at the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com shared the letter that went out to dealers this morning:

To: Select Chevrolet Dealer Operators
Attn: New Vehicle Sales Managers, and Inventory Managers
Date: March 25, 2025
Subject: Dealer Action required by March 31, 2025 – 2025 MY Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 event 2000 orders from March 6th, 2025 DOSP

You are receiving this communication because you have at least one 25MY Corvette ZR1 Sold (SRE) and/or Stock (TRE) order at event 2000 (on hold) from the 3/6/25 DOSP. These orders are pending review and potentially dealer changes, as we are now able to offer the RPO TOM, if desired.

You will be receiving a constraint for ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package (RPO TOM). Constraint will be visible in the “View My Allocation and Constraints” screen in Order WorkBench on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025.

Please do one of the following by close of business Monday, March 31st, 2025.
• Add RPO TOM to the order(s) at event 2000
• Leave order(s) at event 2000 as is
• Replace the order at event 2000 with a preliminary order, within constraints, containing RPO TOM

All orders at event 2000 will be sent into production by Tuesday, April 1st, 2025.

Please note that we expect ramp up of our launch model, the 2025 model year ZR1, will be measured as we ensure launch excellence. As planned, this is a short run with limited volume as we near changing over to 2026 model year.

Please contact your District Sales Manager for order (s) affected at your dealership

  1. All just phoney positioning to allow dealers to raise prices way beyond MSRP. Same ole story same ole cow patties.
