Corvettes for Sale: Ex-Ken Lingenfelter 2010 Corvette ZR1 Offered at Bring a Trailer

Accidents happen even to the former cars of Corvette legends.

After aftermarket guru Ken Lingenfelter sold his 2010 ZR1 in 2014 with just 8,000 miles on the odometer, the next owner was the victim of a “minor to moderate” mishap in 2016, according to the Carfax.

Will this mishap nearly a decade ago be enough to derail the current sale on Bring a Trailer?

So far, it’s looking good for the current owner of this souped-up Corvette, who kept the car for another nine years after the accident before selling it to a dealer who has watched the bids climb to $44,500 so far, with six more days to go.

Lingenfelter, owner of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, bought the car new and then proceeded to modify it, quite naturally, with his company’s 710 HP C6 LS9 ZR1 Corvette Kit.

Original MSRP was $119,980 – complete with the $10,000 3ZR Premium Equipment Group package (which added heated seats with position memory settings for the driver along with a power-adjustable steering column, steering wheel audio controls, a Bose sound system, navigation, and a CD stereo), $1,300 for the Gas Guzzler Tax, and $850 for the Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat. Fortunately for Lingenfelter, he didn’t have to pay anything for the LPE upgrade, according to a receipt included with the current listing.

The original star of the show, of course, was the ZR1’s stock 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that poured out 638 horsepower mated with a six-speed manual transmission. Lingenfelter just upped the ante a little bit with his kit that provided a boost of 72 horsepower thanks to a high-flow supercharger intake snout, an 11-rib pulley, a high-flow air-intake kit, a 100mm idler pulley kit, and a 160-degree thermostat.

The new owner will get the window sticker, Lingenfelter literature, and a 2014 bill of sale documenting Ken Lingenfelter as the original owner.

How would this beautiful Crystal Red ZR1 look in your driveway?

  1. Just by looking at the pictures of it on BaT, the repaired areas on this car appear to be well repaired and unnoticeable. Of course in person it could look different. It’s a great color, nice looking C6 ZR1.

  2. I wish the sellers answers to questions about the damage actually made me feel like nothing is being hidden so I could put in a bid

  3. This is a buy if you want a supercharged Corvette.
i would however want details on the area and extent of the damage and to do a personsl or qualified 3rd party inspection of the entire car most particularly the repaired area to determine the quality and nature of the repairs. if that checked out then I would buy the car….except for my purposes I would want a C6Z06 with the lingenfelter pkg producing around 640 hp normally aspirated. The supercharged cars typically cant dump the heat for sustai n ed road racing
