[ACCIDENT] DUI C6 Corvette Driver Does Donuts in a Cul de Sac and Crashes into a House

The driver of this silver C6 Corvette coupe left behind plenty of evidence after crashing into a house in California last Wednesday night.

First of all, black tire marks on the pavement are visible in some of the Facebook photos posted by the San Luis Obispo Police Department, and then there’s always that picture of the car resting up against a house on Parsons Way.

The police department arrested local resident Eric Rinell, 26, after the incident and charged him with suspected drunk driving after he was allegedly doing donuts in the cul-de-sac of Parsons Way and eventually lost control of his Corvette and drove over a bed of purple flowers before being stopped by the exterior wall of a nearby house around 8:25 p.m.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash, and the house was not structurally damaged.

A Facebook post by police this morning sums up the night’s activities: “Real talk SLO: drinking and driving is dumb. Drinking, driving and spinning donuts in a cul de sac and losing control then hitting a house is even dumber. Patrol arrested the driver for suspected DUI last night and impounded the vehicle. Luckily, the driver was not injured. Seriously, don’t drink and drive.”

  1. Wrecked car, min $10K in legal fees and fines, insurance rates through the roof, possible suspended license. Young, dumb, and drunk…bad combination.
