General Motors has just issued a service bulletin for the 2025 Corvette.
The good news is that the problem is easily repaired by just reprogramming the Body Control Module (BCM) – all at no charge to the owner.
Service Update N242487960 explains that the issue becomes apparent after the BCM sets a U1962 DTC (diagnostic trouble code), causing the “Check Engine Light” to illuminate on the instrument panel.
Reprogramming the BCM apparently clears the DTC and the warning light, with no additional problems caused by the glitch.
Which versions of the Corvette are affected remains unclear – whether the Stingray, E-Ray or Z06 or all three – but the ZR1 is definitely not included since production hasn’t begun yet.
