Santa may enjoy the cold weather these days while riding in his sleigh, but the same doesn’t ring true for owners of some 2024 Corvettes.
Chevy has just released a Service Bulletin addressing a malfunction with the front view camera modules on certain 2024 Corvette Stingrays, Z06s, and E-Rays.
Apparently some front camera modules may not work after sitting in the cold for a while, not exactly the kind of news you want to hear when you’re trying to keep the front splitter of your Corvette from scraping a curb.
Service Bulletin N242453430 corrects the problem with the installation of a new camera module that’s not sensitive to cold temperatures. The process is said to take just 24 minutes and is free for cars that are still under the original factory warranty.
Dealers are instructed to repair the problem on customer cars brought to them as well as in-stock vehicles before they can be sold, delivered, traded to other dealerships, auctioned, or demonstrated.
As you might expect, the front camera modules are in limited supply, so dealers aren’t allowed now to order them just for stock in the parts department.
In the warranty management system, the affected C8s will be marked “Open” on the “Investigate Vehicle History” section until the repair is made.

Should be free for any Corvette having this problem
What 2024 Corvettes wouldn’t still be under warranty? Typical for GM these days, there’s a safety issue that’s severe enough dealers can’t sell cars with it, but GM can’t be bothered to make repair parts available. GM’s customer service may be the worst in the industry. Not sure I’ll ever by another Corvette, and I’ll definitely never buy any other car from GM.
