[SPIED] Corvette ZR1s and Other C8s Undergoing Winter Testing

While many Corvette owners put their cars away at the first sign of inclement weather, the engineers on the Corvette Team see an opportunity for some cold weather testing.

Check out this photo montage from Mike Savino that were recently posted to Facebook showing a number of C8 Corvettes including the mighty 1,064-hp Corvette ZR1 that were undergoing winter testing near Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. The photos were shared by “General Motors Jeff.”

So cool! Chevrolet is out winter testing the insane 2025 Corvette ZR1 in my backyard (Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan). If you didn’t know, we have feet upon FEET of snow up here right now. Could you imagine 1,064 HP, on icey/snowy roads? 😂 Big thanks to my friend Mike Savino for getting these pics for me!)

We can easily spot the ZR1s in the group based their really big wings, as well as their front hoods which has the raised Gurney Trim. We are not that surprised to see two E-Rays in Torch Red and Black. Could it be that GM is doing some additional testing on these current platforms, or might these cars be rolling test platforms for both the upcoming ZORA and the Grand Sport? Inquiring minds would love to know!
