Our friend Jason from the Front Seat Driver YouTube channel turned us on to a recent video in which he profiles a C8 Stingray owner named Brandon.
When the Z06 market got all crazy with dealer markups, Brandon decided to go the tuning route with his C8 Corvette and now after making both mechanical and body changes, we’re ready to see the end result.
The Corvette was stripped down to the frame for its transformation as nearly every major component would be upgraded. Starting with the engine, Brandon’s C8 Corvette is now powered by a 6.8L LT2 and it produces a naturally-aspirated 700 horsepower. The engine also features a PTR manifold, 100 mm throttle body, and custom headers to maximize performance. Brandon also installed C8 cooling ducts from ACS Composite and the exhaust system was changed to a center-mounted system that’s more tuned for the streets than the track.
On the outside, the Corvette features visible carbon fiber everywhere with its widebody kit from Anderson Composites. The carbon fiber wheel covers nearly every panel including the front end, rockers, and the rear quarter panels. The only parts remaining stock appears to be the frunk hood, doors, and the rear hatch. It also sports a Z06-style high wing.
Like the performance install video we shared earlier this month, Brandon also used the makeover to focus on weight-reduction. Not only does the carbon fiber panels help to shave some weight, but he also opted for lighter wheels with his build. He estimates that its now approximately 200 lbs lighter than stock.

In today’s video I meet up with my friend Brandon to check out his C8 that has been completely modified on the outside and under the hood. The rear hood, that is! Lots of carbon fiber and lots of additional horsepower. Check this out!

Very impressive. I’d like to see a video of his modded out C7 Z06 too.
Not for me, the unpainted door skins make it look unfinished. Lot of money for very little improvement. But that’s just me.
The intakes are about the only aesthetic I really like. Everything else just screams 90s Pitroad-M style JDM tuner. Rear appears to only be a diffuser mod, bumper cover itself looks the same style as stock.
I’m intrigued because the SR is what I’d like to get the ER powertrain in–with a select few cosmetic modifications.
