With nearly 250,000 fifth-generation Corvettes built from 1997 to 2004, Chevy’s C5 is not a rare car.
But diving deep into the production of 124,596 coupes and 89,610 convertibles, we discover there are some models that aren’t very common to see on the road.
That includes this 2000 coupe with just 39,550 miles sporting the rarest color by far that year, and it’s being offered for $21,000 (with “reasonable” offers considered) on Craigslist out of the Seattle, Washington area.
One of 453 coupes built in 2000 in Nassau Blue, this Corvette is also said to one of just 151 with an automatic transmission and furthermore has the optional 3.15:1 axle ratio from the factory, according to the seller. Chevy says 3.15’s provide slightly better acceleration compared to the 2.73: 0 to 60 time of 4.90 seconds for the 2.73 and 4.75 seconds for the 3.15; quarter-mile time of 13.65 for the 2.73 and 13.50 for the 3.15.
Not so rare is the black leather interior inside this one, but nevertheless it does serve as a nice complement to the Nassau Blue and remains in excellent condition a quarter of a century after leaving the Bowling Green factory.
By the way, the next two lowest paint shades were Dark Bowling Green (886 coupes) and Arctic White (979 coupes).
This car includes the 1SB package, head-up display and Bose sound system with CD player, along with the stock LS1 V8 engine that puts out 345 horsepower.
However, this Corvette has also been tastefully modified with a dual K&N cold air intake, red engine covers (stock blacks are in a box), C6 Z06 replica wheels with “newer” Michelin Pilot Sport Plus tires, Corsa Sport SS quad exhaust, bi-LED projector ACA headlight conversion kit (stock headlights in a box), modern parking light lamp assembly, new Lloyd GM-Corvette floor mats, WeatherTech custom-fit rear liner, passenger cup holder, and carbon fiber-wrapped removal roof panel.
In addition, the car has just been serviced with a Mobil 1 oil change, and the beautiful Nassau Blue paint has been ceramic coated to protect it from the elements.

I owned this corvette from 2015 to 2021, bought it with 19k miles and sold it with 36k. It was my daily driver and a great car. C5’s are great bang for your buck. I only sold it because I found a C6 Z06 in lemans blue that I wanted. Whoever buys this car is getting a good one.
Beautiful color. Surprising they made so few of them.
