On the minds of every Corvette enthusiast we know for the last six months has been the starting price for America’s new King of the Hill, the 2025 Corvette ZR1. Those of us on CorvetteBlogger recently dug into the subject, so it will be interesting to see how we made out! (Spoiler Alert: I was too low.)
The Corvette ZR1 is the new American Supercar with 1,064 horsepower and a top speed of 233 MPH. No other current production vehicle priced under $1 million can match those stats! And now we finally have the answer what the ZR1 will cost.
The starting MSRP for the 1LZ Corvette ZR1 Coupe will be $174,995 and all prices discussed here include the $1,695 mandatory shipping fees. For the Hardtop Convertible ZR1, the MSRP for the 1LZ model will start at $184,995. The 3LZ Coupe will have a starting MSRP of $185,995 while the convertible 3LZ model will start at $195,995. Just two trims are available, the 1LZ and 3LZ and all come standard with the following:
• A hand-assembled 1,064 hp twin-turbo V8 engine
• Visible carbon fiber roof
• Carbon ceramic brakes
• Performance Data Recorder
• Carbon fiber ground effects and side intakes

“ZR1 is an example of design and engineering excellence, one where we push the boundaries of what’s possible in terms of performance,” said Scott Bell, vice president of global Chevrolet. “It was important for us to stay true to Corvette’s promise of a vehicle whose world-class capabilities completely outmatch its price.”
The Corvette ZR1 has two additional packages that work in tandem. The ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package (TOM) has an MSRP of $8,495 and it replaces the standard aero package with the aggressive high-downforce rear wing, front dive planes, and a tall hood spoiler. Underneath the car are a stet of underbody strakes to increase downforce and control the aero flow under the car.
For those that want to unlock the ultimate track configured ZR1, buyers should select the ZTK Performance Package for an additional $1,500 which adds Michelin’s Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires, stiffer springs, and Magnetic Ride Control calibrated for ZTK. The ZTK package does require the Carbon Fiber Aero Package.
According to the language in the press release, “Chevrolet will begin accepting orders for the 2025 Corvette ZR1 in mid-February and production will begin at Bowling Green Assembly in Q2.”

Thank-you for the update. Pretty reasonable pricing for a true supercar!
Really don’t understand the competitive chart one bit. I am pretty sure it is not from Chevrolet? Both GT3RS and McLaren 765LT are bona fide “trailer” cars with very poor NVPs for strict track use and ten minutes car rides… maybe 30 with seat pillows and ear muffs. I do think the Ferrari and Lamborghini mentions are legitimate competitors though.
GM should be able to produce a few of these as C8 inventory balloons. Good for the dealers as they will get $50,000 to $100,000 ADM.
I can never afford this Corvette. That said it is a great value performance/dollar wise.
Starting with the C7 carring over to the C8 Chevrolet.build quality and the quality of the materials used in the Corvette rivals any of the competition.
The 911 RS like the ZR1 is an ultimate version of the 911. My point is Porsche builds about the number of 911s than Chevy builds Corvettes so they have the benifit of volume
Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini ( to a degree since some Audi share architecture) are low volumn so R&D and production jack up cost.
The ZR1 is truly “King of the Hill”, not just the Corvette Hill. WORLD CLASS!
For a supercar, this is a steal.
However, it will leave boomer to make the ultimate choice:
“Do I buy the Class A, or do I buy the Corvette ZR1?”
Because now, he cannot have both!

It might just be me, but you seem just a tad bit angry.
A top-of-the-line, world class hyper car under 200K is a steal.
I guarantee, Chevrolet does not expect to sell 10K C8 ZR1’s
Fun fact:
2,441 ZR1 coupes and 512 ZR1 convertibles were built during the extended 2019 model year for a grand total of 2,953 retail units of the supercharged swan song of the C7.
I don’t like the cost of the 3LZ interior. Have no interest in a radio beyond AM as who is going to sit in the car to play the radio? Reminds me of the $4000 Mackintosh that was in the Ford GT…hey, you are listening to the engine and that expensive radio is a total waste.
